Hobbies Galore
I have a number of hobbies that I spend free time doing. Some take more time than others, luckily most of them I can do with the family so we make it a family day activity.
Paintball
This is a sport I picked up in the early 90's. I really enjoyed playing back then, but as live has it, other things took priority, and I stopped playing for a number of years. Recently, the guys at work really wanted to get into and start playing again. I set up a game for them and the madness was on.
Guitar Project
I spent a number of years in construction and over time I have accumulated a number of decent woodworking tools. I am kind of the do-it-yourselfer kind of guy, so I wanted to find out how hard it was to build a guitar. Here is a diary of the attempt with pictures.
Music
I started playing bass guitar in 1984 and have been playing ever since. Early on I had rock star aspirations, but looking back on how history has treated those who made fame in the 80s in a way it seems a blessing to not have had a lot of success. I had some success with a couple of bands though, and all in all I am happy with where my musical career took me. Now it is a hobby nothing more, nothing less.
Bike Riding
This hobby started out with my desire to get outdoors and be active again. In Missouri, where I grew up, there would be any number of things I could be doing, in California, I don't know I am not much into a lot of the outdoorsy things to do here. However, I found mountain biking relaxing enough.
